A Church Without Walls Connecting People to Jesus & Christians to Christians.

The last couple of months has been a time of uncertainty for our nation. We all have experienced things we have never seen before. It has been difficult at times and at other times no big deal. We now are getting tired of the situation and are ready for it to be over. Ready to return to normal.
Through all of this, there has been one constant. That constant is and always will be God! He has been consistent, He has been available, He has been our provider and so much more. Yet, so many of us have felt like we have no hope and that we are all alone. Why do we forget that God is always there waiting? If we would just acknowledge Him, He is there for us.
Proverbs 3:6
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
We get so busy listening to the news and taking everything they say as the truth. Then we have many people who want us to stay shut down because they are afraid. We must remember that we have no reason to fear. God is with us!
Luke 8:22-25
22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
Yes, we need to take precautions, practice good hygiene and respect each others fears and concerns but we cannot let this situation take control of our lives. We must pray and trust in God and move forward and live our lives. We each need to determine the path we will take.
What waters are you taking your ship through? Are you afraid to move into uncharted waters? If so why? Stand still and let God lead you. Let God help you decide how to live your life. Stand up and don’t be afraid to make the boat rock! God is in control!
Matthew 14:25-31
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
We can see here that Peter put his life in God’s hands. He walked on water as long as he kept His eyes on Jesus. We can see through this that as long as we keep our eyes on our Savior He will keep us on course, our ship won’t sink.
The Lighthouse
By the Hinsons
There’s a lighthouse on the hillside that overlooks life’s sea.
When I’m tossed it sends out a light, tis a light that I might see.
And the light that shines in darkness now will safely lead us o’er.
If it wasn’t for the lighthouse, my ship would be no more.
And I thank God for the lighthouse, I owe my life to Him.
For Jesus is the lighthouse and from the rocks of sin;
He has shone a light around me that I could clearly see,
If it wasn’t for the lighthouse tell me where would this ship be.
Everybody that lives around us says tear that lighthouse down.
The big ships don’t sail this way anymore, there’s no use of it standing around.
Then my mind goes back to that stormy night, when just in time I saw the light;
Yes the light from that old lighthouse that stands up there on the hill.
And I thank God for the lighthouse, I owe my life to Him.
For Jesus is the lighthouse and from the rocks of sin;
He has shone a light around me that I could clearly see,
If it wasn’t for the lighthouse tell me where would this ship be.
If it wasn’t for the lighthouse, tell me, where would this ship be?
